Green Hell Unleashed!

After some time off because of my return to Brazil, finally I got something to show here.
My Hive Fleet has begin its invasion.
I managed to paint my Tervigon (already full magnetized to be used as a Tyrannofex), 26 Tergamagants, 11 Hormagaunts and 3 Hive Guards.
I'm trying to paint as much as I can so my army will be ok for the next weekend meeting of the Campinas at War Club. However, the bases will have to wait some time to be made.
I also have some opportunites to play my Tyranids against my brother and brother in law (also using my Tyranid army). The games were fun, with a very special performance of the Tervigon that I used as HQ against my brother: it managed to spawn 67 Termagants (15+9+11+14+18) in the 5 rounds game. I tought that I have bought Termagants in excess, but after that, I think that 93 are not that much. Hope that I can managed to have that same luck next time (and maybe with 2 Tervigons).

Sorry about the photo, but my camera is with my wyfe, so I used my cellphone camera.

End Game!

I know it's not very nice to post two days in a row, as the readers will not have time to see or comment the first one.
However, as this post is the continuation of the precedent, I decided to do it.
Here comes my human team for Dreadball: Gaviões Dourados.
While I was painting them, I don't know why, but I thought about the cartoon 'Silver Hawks'. As the yellow looked like a MNM gold (pushing a little, I know), and as Gaviões (hawks, in Portuguese) is the name of another very famous association of soccer supporters (rival to Mancha Verde), I came up with that name (however, the color scheme has no relation with the colors of Corinthians team).
Not one of my best works, but one of the fastest (all ten models in less then a day).
Mission accomplish: all the miniatures of the Dreadball box are ready.

First kick

At the last week game day at the club, I did a farewell party to say goodbye to my friends from the club (even if I'll be in the next two game days).
I was very happy to see the room crowed with very good friends that shared very good games in all those two and half years.
They kindly offered me two royals gifts: a Dreadball game, and two factions of Bushido (both in English, so I can play with my new friends in Brazil).
So, in order to say thanks, I started right away painting them.
I started with the Dreadball, and now I present you my Orx team.
I thought to seek inspiration in the Brazilians soccer teams, and so a chose a to honor my brother using his favorite team colors (Guarani, from Campinas).
So, I came up with this green and white scheme, that a first look very odd (green clothes for Orx?), but in the end I'm very satisfied with the result.
For the team name, I'm not sure yet, but thought of Mancha Verde (a famous association of soccer supporters for the Palmeiras team).
However, for the human team, I changed my mind about using the brazilan's team colors (they are all the same, with black/white, green/white, etc) and chose to make my own color scheme. They will not take long to show up here (I hope they will be ready till next Friday, so I can play with them at the club).

Fiends of Chaos

To celebrate my silver medal in the Army on Parade, I got a new acquisition for my Crimson Slaughter army.
Actually, is 2 in one: a Forgefiend/Maulerfiend.
The miniature is magnetized so I can field one of the two fiends.

Maybe it's one of my last paint job for some time. I'm moving back to Brazil, so all my material will be in boxes crossing the Atlantic till the end of this month.
However, I'll try to put some news as possible, like showing my Tyranid Hive (all preparations done, just need to start painting).

Army on Parade: Games Workshop Paris 06

This weekend a participated with my Crimson Slaughters in the Army on Parade in the Games Workshop shop at Paris 6th.
The first place was for Benjamin, who works in the shop (!!!), with a converted army with oriental theme. Nice freehand painting and a oriental look fortification, but that's all (imo). 27 votes.
I got the silver medal, with 20 votes. I was very happy of the result, considering that I got only two 'suspects' votes (me and my wife), meaning that the others 18 votes were from people that I don't know and that really liked my army. Someone loved so much that even stole one of my miniatures (an ancient metal version of the Chaos Spawn).
In third place, an dark eldar army, that got 18 votes (and my wife told me that when she was voting, there were at least 5 friends of the guy to vote for him).

I'd like to thanks my angelic wife for always supporting me (she's my painting coach and photographer), and my two great friends Nico (who lend me this awesome table) and Igor (who donated the Temple of Skulls scenery to the club, that I've painted).

Even I'm sad to leave France, I'm happy that I managed to accomplish so much in the hobby before leaving (I'm still #1 in the European rank of Alkemy).

PS.: if you look in the top right of the 4th photo, you'll see the most beautiful and  awesome miniature of all: my little boy Pedro!

September 7th Army on Parade: Ravenwing 2nd CIA (Dark Angels)

To celebrate the Brazilian independence day at September 7th, here's my army on parade.
Unfortunately it's not my full Dark Angels army, but it's my whole Ravenwing 2nd CIA.
Next week, one surprise of the same kind.
Thanks to Nico for lending me this awesome tile, and  to my wife for taking the photos.

Ravenwing Heros

To lead my Ravenwing, I got two HQs: Sammael, Master of the Ravenwing, and a Librarian on bike.
