The Blazing Toads Tribe

Finally my painting during my travel to Brazil is advancing.
I finished all the amphibians of the Aurlok Nation. Some of these miniatures were repainted. I liked the idea of the flaming feathers, so I keep them and used it as the theme of this tribe: the Blazing Toads Tribe.

Eclectic week

This was a very productive week.
While I’m preparing to go out in vacations, I did a lot of painting, in a very eclectic way.
I’m painted at least two miniatures of each game that I’ve (that still has miniatures to paint).
Started the week with some Alkemy (ok, the miniatures are of a friend, and not mine, but it was I that painted them): 3 swashbucklers and the cleric.
Them some LotR: the two new heros from Moria.
Sergeant Lorenzo and Brother Deino from Space Hulk.
And to close the week, 4 others members from the Bamaka Clan of EDEN.

Back to Mornea

Soon, I’ll go to Brazil to visit my parents. As I want to profit of my vacations to paint a little, I start to think about my options.
I have a lot of LotR, but as I don’t have a lot of space in my baggage, I’ll not take them.
I have a lot of Eden, but as they are in metal, it’ll need a extra care to take them back, and as I know that my baggage will be totally full of Brazilians merchandises, I’ll not take them.
I have to finish my Space Hulk, but as they are all the same color scheme, it’s not fun for the vacations.
As all my options are down, I took some miniatures from my great friend Nico (his sitehere) from the Alkemy. The Alkemy miniatures are in plastic and resin, so it’s easy to transport. They are very fun to paint, as you can go crazy in the scheme color, specially for the Aurloks and Avalon.
Well, I’m still in France, but I couldn’t resist, and I painted the Khaliman’s miniatures before my travel.

The Great Pamela of Gorgoroth

I couldn’t resist her. Once she arrived, I could stop thinking about preparing her, assembling her, priming her, painting her!
Yes, it’s my great beast of Gorgoroth.
I named her Pamela, since it took me the same amount of green stuff that Pamela has of silicone in her breasts.
Another great success of the FAILCast: the two halves of the beast don’t match. I have to cut the head of one the haves and rebuild the neck.
My sculpting skills are low, but I’m pleased with the results.
For the base, it tried something new to me: I build a base using filler. I even tried to make a pond for basing the Watcher in the Water. However, I’ll have to wait for the material to dry.
However, for the crew, they’ll be in the box for a long time, as I’m not ready yet to start painting orcs.
